We got to connect with another rising star in our Huntsville community LaTisha Williams the owner of Angelic Soaring Dresses. Check out our conversation below:
Latisha, please tell us a little about you. Where you are from, what’s your upbringing?
I was basically born and raised most of my life in Alabama. My Mother Had me at a young age so my Granny’s did most of the raising so I’m a young person with an old soul. I am a Wife, Mother, Mimi, and a veteran, with a huge heart and big dreams.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Angelic Services is a company that I originally started in 2020 to help small businesses get and stay organized. After returning from deployment in 2021, I suffered from minor health issues and lost myself. I slowly began my journey back to me and loving myself with much prayer, fasting and seeking the Lord.
What is unique about your business? Tell us a bit more.
I make my company unique because there’s only one me and I genuinely care about helping people love and feel better about themselves.In 2022, I began researching taking pictures in the famous Santorini (Flying) Dress and in 2024, it became a vision to bring the dresses to the Alabama area while helping to uplift and encourage other women and girls to love themselves just the way God created them. All those who know me know that I thrive on helping others and having a servant spirit. It is truly a blessing to be a blessing. My vision is that I can bring Dreams & Visions together while allowing you to experience Soaring in one of my many beautiful Flying Dresses.
Marketing, and the fact that alot of people don’t know what Santorini (flying) dresses are because the business just started in 2016 over in Greece. So, in the Alabama they don’t know what it is really unless they’ve traveled. I’ve been doing more marketing shoots and vendor events. Also, more social media interactions.
If you could speak to your younger self, just starting out, what advice would you give him/her?
Always put God first because HE will NEVER leave you or forsake you. Remember Regardless of what anybody says about you or who doesn’t believe in you, ” You Always Believe in You.” You are never too old to achieve your dreams, you just have to train harder than everyone else. Finally, find your place of Peace visit it often and love yourself.
What’s your dream/the end game?
Honestly, to leave a legacy to do something in Huntsville that hasn’t been done yet. To see people happy doing something that doesn’t always involve clubbing. Then after it’s all over my husband and I will travel the world while the kids and grandkids run the business.
What advice do you have for other entrepreneurs?
Failure is not an option and Quitting is unacceptable. When God gives you a vision, it’s not for everybody. Trust HIS Vision and HIS Timing, HE will put the right people in the right place at the right time. Trust the Process and have Patience.
