Huntsville, AL — Huntsville Black-Owned Businesses (HBB), under the nonprofit BOLD Huntsville, has launched HBB Live: Celebrating Black-Owned. Live., a groundbreaking 12-hour livestream shopping event taking place Black Friday and Cyber Monday from 9AM–9PM. This first-of-its-kind experience is designed to elevate Black-owned businesses by giving them a large-scale platform to showcase their products, share their stories, and connect directly with customers in real time.
Inspired by the format of familiar home-shopping networks, HBB Live presents a modern, digital, culturally-centered twist: for us, by us. The livestream features local and regional Black-owned brands offering special holiday deals, live demonstrations, interviews, and more.
“Black-owned businesses often don’t get the visibility they deserve during the biggest shopping weekend of the year,” says Kanique Mighty-Nugent, Founder of HBB and Director of BOLD Huntsville. “HBB Live was created to change that narrative by giving our entrepreneurs a powerful platform to shine.”
The event is accessible worldwide through:
HBB Live has already gained early media traction with appearances on Tennessee Valley Living (WAFF 48) and Day to Day with Mariah (WHNT).
Consumers can tune in, shop intentionally, and support Black innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship—all from the comfort of their homes.
HBB is a directory and media platform committed to spotlighting, promoting, and supporting Black-owned businesses in North Alabama and beyond. As a flagship program under BOLD Huntsville, HBB works to increase visibility, economic mobility, and community wealth.
